It's very unpleasant to see broken umbrellas in the patio. I'm just hoping that critters won't ruin your new umbrella next time! =)Gerry Bossierhttp://www.wickerworksofbrownsburg.com/outdoor-patio-furniture-indianapolisnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6064255496266215582.post-22222430742711830112010-02-16T15:19:58.760-05:002010-02-16T15:19:58.760-05:00I have squirrels AND rats!
Didn't know about...I have squirrels AND rats!

Didn't know about the rats (nocturnal animals) until all my toads were gone. I have, or HAD a yard full... of toads. They are wonderful because they eat the bugs. Had over twenty march out every night.

Then none. Strange, because we had a pond full of tadpoles in the spring. We knew we had rats when they broke into the shed and got into the bird seed. We could see their "calling cards". They even got into the bird feeders at night. They made tunnels in the flower beds... looking for the toads?

Well, we had to get rid of them. I hated that part. Hubby set out bait. I feel so bad... we should have trapped them and taken them to the woods. Maybe.

Talk to you soon ;)
Bunny JeanBunny Jeanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07687082260887039604noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6064255496266215582.post-64681039141244300952010-02-12T08:05:52.559-05:002010-02-12T08:05:52.559-05:00Mary Ellen I would love to see a picture of that r...Mary Ellen I would love to see a picture of that redone umbrella!nannykimhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09904490730187017812noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6064255496266215582.post-27424267777608234312010-02-11T22:56:52.241-05:002010-02-11T22:56:52.241-05:00Oh my goodness! It was charming and I found an old umbrella just to try to do that this spring. We are in the woods so there is always something eating whatever I put out. Except for now because we are basically in a frozen tundra and nothing can survive:-)Anita Diazhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10745164844001794566noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6064255496266215582.post-50307484164103546632010-02-10T15:10:48.650-05:002010-02-10T15:10:48.650-05:00Ew...that's too bad.
