Christmas readiness in the decore area
You may wonder what these two guys are smiling about (other than the fact that they found a way to get their feet warmed!). They are smiling because as the song says, "Christmas time is here" (or at least near) . Rhoda at Southern Hospitality is having a Christmas home tour thingy on December 10. Go there to check out the fun.
In the meantime--look below:
I love wreaths hanging on windows! I love how it looks from the inside of the room looking out! It just makes me happy! Oops-in the above picture the window is open--that is why it looks a bit strange. It was 74 degrees today (December 9, 09 ). Now then, two windows in the same room with wreaths....well....makes me double happy. (Notice the red and white advent candle in the picture below)
The picture above makes me happy because it is of Mole and Ratty at Christmas time (from the Wind and the Willows)
Of course if you add snowflakes to the scene my happiness spills more and more ....
The above is a different kind of tree in the shape of a cross.
Touches of gold and red
I love how one ornament can reflect an entire room--see picture below:
Above are antique ornaments I had as a child.
The spread is reversible and we use it on the other side most of the year ;-)
Hope you enjoyed seeing some of the Christmas fun at Spindle Cottage ;-)
AND (I am adding this a bit late) an important fashion quote this week from my granddaughter--"Princes don't wear pacifiers" this was directed at her 1 year old bro ;-)
My granddaughter in the glow!
