Valentine's weekend in Charleston

We had a wonderful Valentine's Day weekend getaway in the Charleston, SC area. Here are a few pics--I will be posting more about it later.

Ps. Don't ever let your hubby buy over 20 roasted garlic cloves from Whole Food Market and never let him eat them all at dinner time on Valentine's DAY---NOT ROMANTIC!!!!!!!

  1. That's funny! Hubby and I were there last summer and loved it!! The houses, the flowers, all were wonderful. The only part we didn't like was the heat. It was over 100 with humidity that was the same. Cindy

  2. Sounds like something Wally would do. He never understands it when I don't want to kiss him after he comes back from business trips. But he eats like a bachelor and smells like one too!

  3. We don't do garlic here...I guess that is a good thing!

I love Charleston, I recognize some of the houses in your pictures. It is such an amazingly beautiful city.

  4. Beautiful pictures! I have got to visit Charleston sometime!

  5. You are so funny! My husband loves garlic and onions! Not good together either.
How fun to take a trip and your photo's are great. I have never been to NC.
Love the photo of Spindle Cottage in the snow!
Take care and enjoy your weekend,

  6. What a great get-away. I love Charleston. I've been there a couple of times, although it's been a while. It's a beautiful city.

  7. For our first date Darling Hubbs took me to an Italian restaurant for dinner......They asked if I wanted garlic bread......my reply........YOU BETCHA......that's the moment he fell in love with me......we've been enjoying garlic ever since.....Well, except that time I ate Thai food with my daughter for dinner and he asked me not to sing in church the next day....that still gives me the giggles....... :-)

Charleston looks fabulous......I'm dying to go to the south.....we have planned on going to Savannah for a year or more, but sales have been puny lately..... Darn.

    Thanks for coming to visit!

    Warm blessings,

  8. Oh! This is one city I have never been to and it's high on my list to go visit! Sounds delightful even with the garlic! LOL!

  9. No! He ate them all? At least you got a wonderful trip out of the weekend!

Howdy :-)
