Beat, I am! Selling Spindle Cottage

Photobucket
I am very achy. We are getting ready to sell Spindle Cottage. Yes, I know, this is not the time to sell! No, no, it is not! AH well. We hope to downsize now that our children are out of the nest. I have been cleaning out years of accumulation! I have taken so much stuff to Goodwill today and bags to the trash. It is amazing how many areas just have accumulated!! Even if something should happen to prevent a move, I am thankful for the incentive to clean.

PhotobucketI still have more to do.....but it is a great feeling to spend the day this way, even though I am tuckered out!

  2. Good luck with the sale of your home...weeding stuff really is a job but,it does bring a feeling of relief when all is said and done. Love the little Pilgrims on your table...did you make them? They are very sweet.....blessings

  3. Clearing out is very hard work, but it does feel good to pare down, purge, whatever you want to call it. We have done it a couple of times and it is always a positive experience.
Here's to hoping that it sells quickly and for the price that you need!

  4. I so understand the weeding out and downsizing of things. Because of Mr. P's health we had a gi-normous garage sale here the end of April and the Auction on May 1. Wow!!! what a transformation to things around our home. We haven't decided to downsize the house "yet", but it can sure breath now. I wish you nothing but the best with all you are going through now.. hugs ~lynne~

  6. Good luck with your possible sale. In a year once my youngest is in college, we are thinking of doing the same thing. It's great to get rid of stuff you don't need. I bet you feel lighter!

  8. We are near there. Balsam gap, though, is between Waynesville and Sylva where we get onto the Parkway, if those towns mean anything to you. We do enjoy it so much here, though!! Can't believe you were here!

  9. I'm sure you'll manage to sell your lovely house in no time! Have you already found your next house? I can just imagine all the hard work cleaning out must be, it must be emotionally hard as well to discard things you've had for so long. Good luck to you, Kim!

  10. Good luck with all you have to do to get the house ready for sale. It's a lot of work. I've found that just decluttering is a major job in itself!

  11. What a great feeling when we clean unnecessary stuff away. I say this as I just posted about my Goodwill finds on my blog. I am much better though about only buying things I will really use, at least that's what I tell myself. I hope for the smoothest sale and move for you.
