OK-- so it is time for tablescape Thursday at Susan's. I can't remember what her rules are so if I am not obeying them....then it will be my Bad. This is not an eating tablescape....just a tablescape. I love bare branches and this branch fell off our oak tree and it has some acorns still attached and some mossy growth on it. So I put it in a green vase and it just gives me a neat feeling.
The above is how it looked before the cardinal landed.
I love cardinals and tonight my hubby and I enjoyed watching the sunset on the patio with a glass of red wine surrounded by a ton of cardinals at our 3 backyard feeders----such a nice Fall evening.
Beautiful Table decoration . I love this look also. The cardinal is just the right touch.8~)

Hi Kim. People pay good money for a decoration like this and you got it for free! I just think it looks awesome! Love the touch of the cardinal.
ReplyDeleteYou're not breaking any rules - just saying! :)
Be a sweetie,
Shelia ;)
I don't think Susan has any rules! LOL I always like a natural touch. Great idea! ~ Sarah
ReplyDeleteHello ~
ReplyDeleteWe don't have cardinals here in Colorado - I think they are so pretty !

Rules? Are there rules? I love using sticks and twigs in the house. I tried to drag a tree home from the Michigan dunes last week, but my husband finally made me leave it.
ReplyDeleteWonderful centerpiece! That is a great branch! Nice touch to add the cardinal!

You asked about the berry spray, I've had it for years, probably came from Michael's, not sure.
I love cardinals too - they're our state bird -- love your tablescape today!
ReplyDeleteLove the branches as a centerpiece, great idea!
ReplyDeleteBranches have a simple natural beauty and are perfect to use as a centerpiece or decoration - love the one you have. Very cute pilgrim couple too!

Love the oak branch, I am on the hunt for acorns this year, but to have a branch with some still attached, just to much to ask for here...
ReplyDeleteWhat a neat idea for a centerpiece! Very creative and fun too. Cindy
ReplyDeleteGreat ideal and center piece for fall. I love watching the cardinals when they come to the feeders.

See? You have not been deleted--no rules! I think we all like seeing new inspiration whatever form it takes. Love that you brought the outside in!
ReplyDeleteGreat centerpiece, ♥ cardinals!
ReplyDeleteJust gorgeous. Love the cardinal. Hugs, Marty
ReplyDeleteHi Kim!
ReplyDeleteI love anything at your charming Spindle Cottage! And the branch
and bird look so sweet there.... a glad you stopped by!
love, kelee
I am sending this over to my sister in law, Kim. She collects things with cardinals and they are especially prevalent at Christmas time. That little pop of red on the branches is perfect.

I think it looks great ... very sculptural! The acorns and mossy growth enhance the organic quality. I love cardinals ... especially on snowy days!
ReplyDeleteYou asked how I dried the roses. I'm almost embarrassed to tell you. They were white flowers, a grocery store bouquet, left in a vase ... ignored for several days. The water evaporated and they turned brown. But I touched them and noticed they were holding their petals. They should have been suspended upside-down I'm sure ... but I just let them continue to dry (with their heads hanging down a bit) and have enjoyed them. ;)
Bye for now,
Bill
What a great idea!! I'll pretty much bring in anything from outside to use in a case so I totally love this!! Love the cardinal too!
ReplyDeleteI meant "in a vase" not a case. Can't type!
ReplyDeleteVery pretty. Your evening sounds perfect!

What a gift you have to put things together in a pleasing way!!
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by my blog and commenting on my centerpiece for my Ephesian study. I wanted to show that Christ frangrances our lives with His presence and then we become the aroma of Christ.
Blessings.
You have a lovely home. I live in a wee house too! 900 square feet! Thanks for stopping by and visiting me. I'm glad I found you. I will be back.
ReplyDeleteThank you for visiting my blog today! I really enjoyed your recipes and happy to share with my mom who is on a gluten free diet.
ReplyDeleteTony said he has many vegan recipes and will plan a meal this week that is also gluten free! Hope you have a great day! I really enjoyed your posts!!
What a delightful time it sounds like you enjoyed! Cardinals are gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteThank you for stopping by and leaving a comment.
ReplyDeleteI too am so grateful that, though I was once lost in transgressions and sin, God was rich in mercy and grace. He drew me out of my pit of sin, redeemed me from the marketplace of sin, ransomed me, reconciled me, and restored me-placing me in the body of Christ, seated me in Him in the heavenly places, and sealed my eternal destination in heaven with Him and all the redeemed forever and ever.
As I live in obedience to the Word of God and dependence upon the Spirit of God, He manifests the fragrance of Christ in and through me.
Thank you for sharing the insight about the victorious parade and the fragrance of the incense. We have been captured by the love, mercy and grace of the Lord Jesus Christ. We are not "chained to HIs chariot". We are His servants and bond slaves-serving at His pleasure for the kingdom of God! He manifests the victory He has wrought on our behalf through the fragrance of Christ in and through us. Hallelujah! What a Savior!! AMEN!!
What a nice touch to bring the cardinal indoors to represent the flock you enjoy outdoors!
ReplyDeletevery nice! i'd love to do this in my house, but alas, my kiddos would probably try to climb it.
