Metamorphasis Monday

This is for Metamorphis Monday . You can go here to view others.

This is the before picture--(which you may have seen two weeks ago) of a nook we use for occasional eating.

I decided (for now anyways) that I wanted my blue and white cups on the teacup shelf. Then that led to moving the regular teacups to the mantle area, changing out the pictures, tablecloth, etc. One thing led to another! See below

hummel big

I like the regular teacups (above) on the mantel area because I seem to notice them more (probably just because I moved them!....and the hummels always make me smile. This all led to a chain reaction--I ended up moving furniture in the sunroom which ajoins this area and moving the other table that is in this dining area!!!! Of course my family is totally used to me moving stuff......sometimes they don't comment ....but usually I think they think it is fun?!

  1. I just love this room and the fireplace and builtin shelf are such great architecture. I really liked the first picture and then the second with the blue really is gorgeous. Both are wonderful. It is such fun to totally change the color scheme with just a few adjustments. Love it. Hugs, Marty

  5. Hi there-
I found you on the Met Monday list....

Your room is charming! I love the blue and white - that's one of my favorite color combos. You are right about one project leading to another - just ask my husband about his weekend and my to-do list that went on and on and on....well, that's what weekends are for, right?

Keep moving things around - it makes you happy and everything looks great!
Take care, have a wonderful week!

  7. Wow! what an impact all the blue dishware have all together! I simply LOVE the built-in "tea cup shelves". I like also the smaller shelf above the Mantle. It gives you more display room! :~) Truly a stunning vignette.
Thank you for stopping by also, much appreciated. I did the decoupage during 100 degree temps, even with the AC on I was able to do a coat a day. The doors I dried outside and did them all in 2 days!
    Have a great week!
